Plenty of Panorama homes have a pool that works fine but looks its age. We resurface, reline, retile and repair pools across the suburb, and help you choose a colour and finish that suits the house, the garden and the view across to Table Mountain.
Panorama lies on the lower slopes of the Tygerberg Hills, close to the N1, and many homes look out towards Table Mountain. It is a settled family suburb with established gardens, and a lot of its pools went in a generation or more ago, with the finishes and tiles that were popular at the time.
An older pool can still be structurally sound while the surface is faded, the waterline tiles look dated and the steps are chipped. A renovation fixes those problems and lets you change the look at the same time, from a new colour to a fresh mosaic border.

Choosing a finish is partly about the state of the pool and partly about the look you want. We check the shell, talk you through the colours and give you honest advice on what will last.

A re-marbelite is the natural way to change the colour of a concrete pool. Lighter finishes keep the water a clear, pale blue, while grey and darker blends give a deeper tone that many owners like. Marbelite has a natural, slightly mottled look, so we explain how your chosen colour will appear once the pool is full.
If you want a smooth, glossy finish and less brushing, fibreglass is worth a look. It goes over the existing concrete or marbelite and seals it, which also helps if the old shell has started to lose water. The gelcoat comes in a range of colours to suit the house.

A new look is only worth it if everything else works. We take care of the repairs, tiling, plumbing and equipment as part of the same renovation, so the pool looks good and runs properly.

Replacing dated tiles is one of the quickest ways to modernise an older pool.

We sort out the shell properly so the new finish has a sound base.

If the pool has been losing water, we find the cause before the new surface goes on.

Older pumps and filters can be repaired or replaced while the pool is empty.

We pump your pool water into a bladder in the garden and use it again for the refill.

Ongoing care that keeps the new finish clean and the colour even.
It may be time if the colour has faded and gone patchy, the waterline tiles are chipped or dated, or the surface feels rough on the steps where everyone sits.
We serve the Northern Suburbs, from Panorama and Plattekloof to Parow, Welgemoed, Monte Vista and Edgemead.
Most Panorama homes have a garden pool that you see every day from the house, so how it looks matters. Before we quote we talk through colour, tiles and coping, and how they will sit against your paving and garden. Changing several things in one renovation means one round of disruption instead of three over the years.
Sun is part of the picture too. Summers here are hot and dry, and a pool in full afternoon sun loses more water and fades faster than a shaded one. We usually suggest renovating in autumn or winter, so the work is done and the water is balanced well before the hot weather arrives.
We look at the pool, test for leaks and talk through colours and tiles with you.
You get a written quote listing the repairs, finish and tiling we suggest.
We drain into a bladder, fix the shell and tiles, and prepare the surface.
The new finish goes on, the pool is refilled and the water is balanced for swimming.

Yes. Resurfacing is the best time to change colour, with marbelite in white, blue or grey and fibreglass in several gelcoat shades. We explain how each one will look in your pool before you choose.
In most older Panorama pools, yes. The pool is already empty, so replacing dated or cracked waterline tiles then is simpler than doing it as a separate job later.
Strong sun and poorly balanced water speed up fading and chalking on marbelite. Keeping the chemistry right and using a pool cover in the hottest months helps the new surface last longer.
No. We check the shell, plumbing and equipment first and repair any cracks or leaks before the new finish goes on, otherwise the new look would not last.
